Description

Taken for a spread in 1967, 'British Vogue, 1967' was shot on an airfield outside of London. At the time, Newton's adventurous use of unusual backdrops and locations was groundbreaking - taking in the African desert, night-lit streets of Paris and beaches of Miami. While planes were taking off behind models in other photos for the spread, here Newton himself sets fly - granting us a fun, whimsical snapshot of model and photographer.

"The first 10, 000 shots are the worst."
