This work, titled ‘Silence of My Mind’, is a meditative piece that recalls the reflections of water.

A moody image by Yoshihiko of the Banana Republic store on Grant Avenue, San Francisco, with Nob Hill in the background. One a small amount of light hits the building, forcing us to question whether it is dawn or dusk? The black and white colour gives the piece a historic feel.

Grimwood catapults the historic character of the squire into the twentieth century with this stylistic portrayal. In a similar manner to David Hockney, Grimwood demonstrates how his iconic fluid style of drawing has made the transition to digital ways of working by creating his work with an iPad.

Designed by Sir Owen Williams, the futurist Art Deco building is the northern headquarters for the Daily Express newspaper. Recalling the aesthetic of 1930 and 40’s travel posters, Millership enhances the historical nature of the building through his use of this aesthetic.

Part of Haker’s maritime series focusing on life in the Mediterranean, this photograph of mooring posts looks out to a calm sea and marshes beyond. Taken from the vantage of the boat, the mooring posts seem to almost float in midair as the Haker expertly captures the tranquillity of the sea through a long-exposure.

A meditation on light giving life, this image shows the hand of radical digital remastering to present an abstracted conception of nature. The young lush plants revel in the midday light of spring with a stunning sense of translucency. Gerlikaite is known for her unusual perspective on nature photography. Here, she takes the subject of the plant not from above but below.

Rich purples bounce off sunny yellows in this richly printed image. Always disheartened by the limits of photographic texture on thin prints, Nicolson’s artwork was finally transformed when he discovered piezo ink technologies.

This beautiful mountainous landscape shot at sunset is perfectly reflected in the lake below. As flat as glass, the lake is a mirror for the scene above. Darwin has expertly captured the wonderful variety of colours in the shot: from pink to orange.

Who knew that Salvador Dali styled this photoshoot for Playboy magazine? The famous Surrealist worked in collaboration with Posar Pompeo to produce this wonderfully theatrical shot. This rare image is from the Playboy Legacy Collection and is limited to just 75 prints.
