Michael Bay: Lights, Camera, Fantasy
Michael Bay featured six small snapshots of PLAYBOY models, including this black-and-white shot of Irina Voronina, Miss January 2001, and Krista Kelly, Miss April 2004. True to his intent, Bay's photo is a study in the contrast between the soft curves of the women's bodies and the black lines traversing them in the form of garters, straps and the somewhat threatening point of Krista's raised stiletto heel. The model's faces are not seen, adding to the voyeurism of the image.
"I love to take artful, exotic, voyeuristic photos. Here I tried to explore the graphic lines and curves of these women’s bodies. I think the simplicity gives them an erotic feel."
