BRAD PITT, 2003.DEGREES PROJECT
This shoot was part of my Degrees Project and came through Dustin Hoffman. It took place at Pinewood studios whilst Brad was filming Troy in 2003. I was told to expect Brad at 2pm. At around 1pm I had a knock on the door and in came a guy in a cap, sunglasses with a rucksack… The man lifted his sunglasses to introduce himself as Brad Pitt, like I would not have recognised him otherwise. We spent a lot of the shoot chatting, mostly Brad asking me questions about my life. It created a very relaxed environment and I believe this came across in the images. Brad is someone who wants to know about you as a person. He is so unhollywood and treats everyone the same, whether they are a fellow film star or crew on set. Brad makes you feel he's on your level and you can often forget you are talking to a film star.
"What's valuable to me has become clearer as I've got older. To me, it's about the value of your time and your day and the value of the people you spend it with."
