David Gandy, 2015.iCons project for Elton John AIDS Foundation
I shot David in Flemings Mayfair. Being a model, David not me, it was a very easy shoot. He turned up in a three piece suit as he had just had a business meeting. He looked fab but I thought he is known for his body so I asked him to disrobe. Like most models they don't even blink when you ask them to get naked, and David was the same. I tried to light him with more shadow, so it didn't look like a 'model shot' and I think between us we arrived at the perfect balance.
"A man without enemies is a man without character."

ABOUT DAVID GANDY
After winning a televised competition in 2001, Gandy became a successful model.
In an industry dominated by extremely thin men, Gandy's muscular build caught the eye of Italian fashion designers Dolce & Gabbana. For several years, the duo featured him in their campaigns and fashion shows, ultimately leading other designers to move to a more masculine standard.
Gandy has been the face of D&G's Light Blue fragrance since 2006, shooting multiple campaigns and touring internationally as the brand's ambassador.
The increase in his popularity and name recognition resulted in a broad portfolio of clients, magazine covers, editorial photo shoots, interviews, industry awards and television appearances.
