Having known John Thornton as a friend for many years, Johnny asked if he could used me as a model at my home. He had an idea that I should wear very high heeled shoes so we traipsed off to a shop he knew that sold shoes to transvestites (well, he would know wouldn't he). I tried on several pairs before he was satisfied and we left the shop after having had a good laugh. The shoot took place on a stormy day in Kent and whilst I know you stand still for a photograph, I could not quite understand why John was so insistent I keep my feet still, until I realised he wanted to take the shoes back for a refund.
