Cornwall

Photographer Johnny Thornton recounts, "This was shot on my first holiday in the UK. Sue and I went to a quiet little village miles from anywhere called Padstow, not so quiet now. We stayed in a small pub and I had shot the harbour and the fishing boats, all the classic stuff. I saw a sign on the road for the car park saying 'Out' and liked the look of the yellow ochre wall. All I needed was something to give the shot photographic balance and along came an old man in a hat casting his shadow. Timing!"

"In life you can see a wonderful sunny day full of sunshine or you can see the same on a dark gloomy day, it's totally up to you."
