Lady With Lamp
Thornton recounts, "I shot this during my 'stuffed animal period'. My favourite film was and still is 'The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie' by Luis Brunel. I loved how there was line between reality and fantasy and for me this image is very much same. I shot it in Brocket Hall, Hertfordshire. It was the home of Lord Brocket who was detained at Her Majesty's Pleasure in 1996 for breaking up and hiding three Ferraris and a Maserati from his £20m collection, then claiming they had been stolen in a bid to clear his debts. Charles later found fame on 'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here'."
"Life is made magical by the people you meet."
Johnny Thornton
