PHALLIC SYMBOLISM
As Johnny Thornton recounts, "I was invited to do another photographic demonstration in Spain as I had done with my 300 Voyeurs. This time I must say the result was nowhere near as good. I was staying in the Ritz Hotel that overlooks The Prado, where the pure scale and beauty of the Velazquez, Goya and Rubens paintings are staggering. My room looked out at an obelisk in the distance, which for me was extremely phallic, so I put the model in an erotic situation."
