PLAYING WITH MY TRAIN
As Johnny Thornton recounts, "To get this shot the way I wanted it, this was set up in my studio so I could control the light. The idea came when I remembered seeing a silent movie of a woman being tied to the railway track by the villain which had for me S & M undertones. I adjusted this to what I felt was a modern S & M situation with a toy train and thus the title 'At home playing with my train'. I am not sure who said No art is new, just a rehash of what has already been done but I guess that's what being inspired by others is all about."
"Smoking kills; so does being hit by a moving train."
