Hotel Deluxe II
Argentini shot the Hotel Deluxe series in three days at a European — style Pasadena mansion. Irina Voronina (the kissee) is a popular Playmate and reoccurring PLAYBOY model. "Irina was the star of the shoot. I enjoyed giving her different looks — she adjusts perfectly," says Argentini. "Guido here demonstrates his wonderful sense of style combined with eroticism, very similar to some of Helmut Newton's earlier work," says Cole.
"You look at someone like Guido Argentini — his work is so incredibly fetishized that even when he's shooting in a pre-existing environment, like a hotel, the scenes almost feel like some kind of PLAYBOY-themed cabaret show."
